About Badgemakers: NZ Badge Makers Since 1921

New Zealand's Longest-Standing Badge Makers
Since 1921, Badgemakers has designed and made custom badges, medals and trophies from our Grey Lynn workshop in Auckland. Founded by Theo Meyer and still 100% New Zealand owned and operated, we’ve spent more than a century perfecting our craft, which is why schools, sports clubs and businesses across the country trust us to make awards worth wearing.
How We Make Your Badges?
Every badge starts with a design, created by our team or supplied by you, then the moulds or dies are cut, an intricate process in itself. Next comes pressing (roughly the equivalent weight of 24 elephants jumping on your badge!) and trimming the small blanks of copper or brass. A fitting, brooch or tie tack,
is attached to the back, then the piece is electroplated in gold, silver, nickel or copper. Finally, we colour-fill and seal each badge with a resin finishing coat for a flawless, scratch-resistant shine. Then your order is ready to freight, anywhere in New Zealand.
